Mutebox Labs is an independent hardware studio. We design, engineer, and ship small embedded devices that quietly solve one problem well — starting with a box that mutes TV commercials automatically.
Mutebox listens to your TV audio, learns what a commercial sounds like, and mutes it — automatically, every time it plays again.
A small box that sits between your TV and your ears. It fingerprints commercial audio the first time it hears it, then mutes it every time after — no remote, no app, no missed plays.

Custom PCBs, designed and fabricated in-house, built around real-world audio and video interfaces.
Embedded Linux and Elixir/Nerves firmware running directly on the device — no cloud dependency required.
Audio fingerprinting and on-device detection tuned for accuracy without false positives.
Mutebox Labs LLC is a Wyoming-registered hardware company. We started with a simple annoyance — commercials blaring louder than the show you were actually watching — and decided the fix should live in a $199 box, not another subscription.
We're a small, founder-led studio: we design our own circuit boards, write our own firmware, and build devices meant to be plugged in once and forgotten. Mutebox is our first product, with more focused hardware in the pipeline.
